Sari and I are tickled pink to have one of the best bands we've ever had the pleasure of getting down to playing our reception at BOKA, the appropriately monikered "Baby Alright!"
"Baby Alright!" features local artist/poet/frontman extraordinaire Marvin Tate on vocals (biopic-of-Otis-Redding-makers take note!), Matt Lux of Isotope 217 on bass (if he's not the best bass player you've seen in some time I'll eat his hat), LeRoy Bach of Wilco on guitar/vox (say what?!), funkmaster Rodney Anderson on rhythm guitar/vox and "super hot drummer" James Thomas on the kit.
We saw them play a show at Simon's Tavern in Andersonville last week and couldn't think of anyone we'd rather have play this gig.
The band is tight and the sound is all right, baby! Be sure to bring some boog-a-loo shoes, ladies!
