The time is nigh...

Sunday, September 5th @ 3:30pm at the Lincoln Park Zoo's Nature Boardwalk pavilion.

Then on to BOKA to boogie down with Baby, Alright! and eat some fine vittles and swill some wine.

We're excited!

Your Evening's Entertainment

Sari and I are tickled pink to have one of the best bands we've ever had the pleasure of getting down to playing our reception at BOKA, the appropriately monikered "Baby Alright!"

"Baby Alright!" features local artist/poet/frontman extraordinaire Marvin Tate on vocals (biopic-of-Otis-Redding-makers take note!), Matt Lux of Isotope 217 on bass (if he's not the best bass player you've seen in some time I'll eat his hat), LeRoy Bach of Wilco on guitar/vox (say what?!), funkmaster Rodney Anderson on rhythm guitar/vox and "super hot drummer" James Thomas on the kit.

We saw them play a show at Simon's Tavern in Andersonville last week and couldn't think of anyone we'd rather have play this gig.

The band is tight and the sound is all right, baby! Be sure to bring some boog-a-loo shoes, ladies!

If you'd all please grab your chairs and follow me...

Sari and I were bicycling through Lincoln Park a few nights previous when we stumbled upon the zoo's new Nature Boardwalk. It was completed a little over a month ago and consists of an elevated boardwalk around the enlarged south pond with a beautifully designed, honeycomb-like structure overlooking the downtown skyline.

Sari fell madly in love with it and declared that we would be moving the ceremony to this new site. Seeing as how the fountain at the conservatory, our original site, is still under construction and has a fence around it, I heartily agreed. We then met a very nice zoo employee who informed us that this jewel goes by the unfortunate moniker, "The People's Gas Education Pavillion". Horrible name, I know. Sounds like we're getting married in Beijing.

Sari had to pull some strings but it all worked out in a few days and we are pleased to announce that we will be the first people to ever get married in this structure. I predict we will not be the last, however. The site is quite stunning.

Please follow the ceremony link at left to see the pavillion's location. (Photos by Sari)

Yes, it's true.

Sari Zernich and Scott Worsham are happy to announce their wedding day of September 5th 2010, which will take place in Chicago, IL in the Lincoln Park Conservatory Garden. They sincerely hope you can attend.

Please take a moment to look around the site and be sure to take the short poll listed below.

Thanks!
